The application for the 2023-2025 administrative fellowship cycle will open on July 11th, 2022 and will remain open until September 6th, 2022, 8:00am EST. Applications received after this time will not be considered by the selection committee.

When you are ready to apply, please gather your application materials for a single submission. You will not be able to save your changes and return to the form.

Please note:

  1. We do not sponsor international visas.
  2. You may apply to multiple administrative fellowship programs. Please ensure you read each program’s requirements carefully and submit all required materials to each program.
  3. Applicants must have completed didactic degree requirements from an accredited master’s level program.
  4. Graduate level clinical degree holders are also accepted (Ex. MD, MSN).

  • Current Graduate School Transcript (Official or Unofficial)
  • 2 Letters of Recommendation (1 Academic, 1 Other)
    • Addressed to the DUH Administrative Fellowship Selection Committee

  • Short Answer Responses
    • Short Answer #1: Describe one mistake commonly made (in your opinion) by healthcare leaders. How could current and future leaders prevent this mistake from happening? (250 words max)
    • Short Answer #2: Aside from the structured 2-year experience and valuable mentorship opportunities, what are your expectations of a fellowship at Duke University Hospital? (250 words max)
    • Short Answer #3: Tell us about an achievement, not listed on your resume, of which you are most proud. (250 words max)
  • 1-Page Supplemental Essay
    • Imagine you are at the end of your administrative fellowship, and tonight is the fellowship graduation ceremony. Your co-fellows will be giving a speech about you at the ceremony. Write the speech they give about your time at Duke. How would they describe your accomplishments and growth over the course of the two years? (1 page max)

Short answer and supplemental essays should be written in 12-point font, single spaced, with 1-inch margins. Please adhere to word and page limits listed above.
