How long are each of the Duke University Health System Administrative Fellowship Programs?
All three of Duke’s fellowship programs are two years.
How many fellows does Duke typically select?
The DUH Administrative Fellowship Program selects two to three fellows each year. The Duke Revenue Cycle & Financial Management Fellowship Program selects one or two fellows each year. The Duke Primary Care Physician Network Management Fellowship Program selects one fellow each year.
Who are the preceptors for the Duke University Health System Administrative Fellowship Programs?
Kevin Sowers, President of Duke University Hospital serves as preceptor for the DUH Administrative Fellowship. Keith Stover, VP of Finance and COO, PRMO serves as preceptor for the Revenue Cycle & Financial Management Fellowship. Elizabeth Long, Chief Operating Officer of Duke Primary Care serves as preceptor for the DPC Physician Network Management Fellowship.
What level of salary and benefits do fellows receive?
Fellows are provided a competitive salary and full benefits each year of the program. Fellows are eligible for the benefits package offered to full-time salaried employees of Duke University Health System. Do Duke University Health System Administrative Fellowship Programs sponsor international visas?
No. At this time, Duke does not sponsor international visas.
If my graduate program requires a year-long residency after completion of coursework, am I still eligible to apply even though I do not yet have my degree?
Applicants who have completed all coursework are eligible to apply to the program. However, applicants should be mindful that all Duke University Health System Administrative Fellowship Programs are two-year commitments. Fellows selected for either program must commit to the full two years.
When will the new application be posted?
Fellowship applications are updated early- to mid-August each year.
When is the application deadline?
All applications must be postmarked by September 25th, 2017.
To whom should I address my letters of recommendation?
Letters of recommendation should be addressed to the Administrative Fellowship Selection Committee.
Can I apply for multiple Duke University Health System Administrative Fellowship Programs?
Yes. Applicants should follow the same application process, indicating on the application that they would like to apply for one, two, or three of the fellowships. Additionally, all required essays on the application should be completed for applicants applying for mutliple fellowships.
