Duke Ambulatory Care Services Fellowship

Welcome from the Preceptor

Dear Fellowship Candidate:

The health care field, and specifically ambulatory care, is experiencing a time of change and innovation. Many health care services formerly provided in the hospital are now provided in an outpatient setting. If you are beginning a career in health care administration and seeking an opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in the ambulatory care environment, I encourage you to consider the Duke Ambulatory Care Services Fellowship Program.

The Duke Ambulatory Care Services Fellowship offers an exciting opportunity to explore the outpatient environment within an academic medical center. This unique fellowship provides exposure to senior leadership in one of the top health care systems in the country. In the first year of the two-year fellowship, the fellow rotates through the major areas of Duke’s Ambulatory Care Services Division such as Duke Primary Care, the Private Diagnostic Clinic, and Duke Health and Wellness, to name a few. During the second year, fellows focus on a specific ambulatory care area based upon personal interest and organizational need.

As a senior leader of Duke’s Ambulatory Care Services, the Fellowship Program Director, and a former Duke University Hospital Administrative Fellow, I value the fellowship program and am dedicated to mentoring young professionals interested in pursuing a health care administration career. I invite you to apply for Duke’s Ambulatory Care Services Fellowship Program. If you have any questions regarding the fellowship program, please feel free to contact me or the current fellow. I look forward to reviewing your application.

Sincerely,
